That's a great list. Monday on The Baltimore Sun's Read Street blog, we'll have lots more Poe material. During the week, we'll feature guest posts from authors, scholars and others on Poe and his long-lasting influence. Among the guest posters are actor John Astin and authors Marilynne Robinson, Stanley Trollip and Charles Todd.

In case you haven't heard, Edgar Poe turns 200 this coming Monday. And it seems like the media is trying to make sure that even people living under rocks hear about it. Here's some recent Poe publicity (feel free to add on) announcing the bicentennial or special Poe-related events.

Reader's Digest

USA Today

The Philadelphia Inquirer

Baltimore Examiner

Free Lance-Star (Virginia)

Honolulu Advertiser

Examiner (and another from Examiner)

Johns Hopkins University Gazette

Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

History News Network

Riverton Library, Wyoming

Boston Globe

You might think that there was no other news, like no major important political events happening that week, or anything...  :)
