I know of three books that deal with Poe and music (which, actually, is three more than you'd think there'd be...) I'm not sure if they're exactly what you're looking for, but they might help. They're all rather obscure works, but you can probably get them through interlibrary loan.

1. "Music and Edgar Allan Poe" by May Garrettson Evans
2. "The Influence of Music on the Works of Edgar Allan Poe" by Jean Cathro
3. "The Relationship of Poetry to Music In the Poems of Edgar Allan Poe" by Minnie Glasheen

If you do a web search for EAP + "music," you may be able to find further information.

Hi Folks,
my name's Peter and I'm just
writing a final thesis on "Works of Edgar Allan Poe and their musical versions as shown by selected examples from Rachmaninoff to the Alan Parsons Project".
Thus I'm looking for further scientific sources on Poe and music. I found some Information at eapoe.org.
Apart from that does anyone happen to know books on Poe and music?
